The Rain Came Down

This winter was a bit unusual for the Midwest. We had very little snow, but cold days and lots of rain. This lovely combo made the ground freeze and nowhere for the rain to absorb. We were one of the many who came to this knowledge from an insurance adjuster. Yes - our basement flooded.

After 2 months of estimates and bids and service trucks and smells - we FINALLY have our basement back. I can now say with confidence that I will probably never do any major home renovations. I am not built for it.
