When Mr. Bell and I packed up our family 4 years ago we said "See you soon!" to everyone. There was no deep sadness because we knew we'd be back to visit soon... and often. In the last 4 years we've been back about 3x a year which really makes it feel like a second home. It's hasn't been a big deal until this summer when Mr. Bell's parents decided to make the leap and come live in our wonderful Midwest home. Like a kick to the gut it hit me: I'd have to say goodbye.
As we are known for - we spontaneously booked a last minute trip days before their move in hopes to soak up the memories and find the closure we had never allowed in.
The West Coast is such a beautiful part of our family's tapestry and we will forever hold it near and dear in our hearts. Who knows - one day we may be back and our time in the Midwest will sound like a sweet interlude in a long song, but for now we live in each day and give thanks that we have friends and family in both wonderful places!
Until rest time - Mrs. Bell
