I'm a Local Now

I was walking with a friend to our weekly girls night and as I was walking a very popular strip in our town I passed a couple walking hand in hand. The man and I exchanged eye contact and we both had the look of "I know you", but we chose to look away and keep on walking. He seemed to less perplexed at my identity and more embarrassed or irritated to be seen. It took about a block and suddenly I realized - it was our pediatrician!  I had to smile because that exchange took me from a newbie in the city to a local ;)
