When she pulls up to the pump she sees a minor construction zone in the parking lot and feels the need to let her kids sit and watch.
While they sit and watch she decides she will attempt at her Target list at Costco (since she's already there). But that means lunch will need to happen there.
After getting a hot dog for the kids to share she reviews her items in her head but soon sees the winter gear lining the entrance and completely forgets her list.
After finding a replacement jacket for her husband who lost his at school, she sees snow pants and thinks about the coming weather and possible ski trips.
If daddy gets snow pants then the kids should be outfitted too, but the kids clothes are in the center of the store.
Once the kids are outfitted she ventures on but sees the Christmas decorations by the clothes and remembers how she now has a fireplace that garland would look beautiful on.
After picking up garland she then puts her foot down and heads off to find sleeping bags since that's what she told herself she needed to find in the first place, but the aisle she chooses to get there has construction toys lining it.
After dreaming of Christmas morning with her kids and testing out all the toys she says its time to find the sleeping bags. Too bad it's not the right season and they don't have any in stock.
With nothing from her list in stock she heads to check out but passes some samples on the way. A bag of snacks later she fixes her eyes on the checkout.
$200 later she exits with a full cart and an upgraded membership (for the benefits of course). She gets in her car seeing it's been an hour and a half and swears she will never get gas again...or at least for awhile...
Until rest time- Mrs. Bell
Well written in the style of "if you give a mouse a cookie!" One thing leads to another ... it's hard to get out of Costco for less than $100 even without a list!
