Panama: part 1

Mr. Bell and I just returned from 7 days in Panama!  It was quite the memorable trip!  We went with 8 other couples from his MBA class to relax, adventure, and get to know each other before the stress of classes and recruiting begins.

We stayed in Panama City the first 2 days and enjoyed the culture there.  It's a bigger city that houses most of the commerce in Panama.  The Pacific side of the Canal is located there as well.  Our first day we went zip-lining and kayaking in Lake Gatun (which is the man-made lake connecting the canals on either side).

The trip was action packed!  The next day we had a Canal Jungle Boat Tour.  That doesn't even begin to tell you all we did!  We were picked up by speedboat to enjoy Lake Gatun and see some wildlife along the way.  We stopped to feed peanuts to wild Capuchin monkeys (!) and then we headed to a houseboat owned by Crazy Carl our tour guide.  From there he fed us an authentic Panamanian meal (which was my personal favorite on the whole trip) and then we hit the kayaks to explore the jungle!  He led us down narrow paths through the reeds and we ended at a waterfall which we were welcome to play at.  Back at his boat we held some native creatures to the area and hung out in the hammocks on his house boat roof.  All in all I can now officially say I have traveled through the REAL JUNGLE CRUISE and Mr. Disney got it spot on!

More to come, but until rest time - Mrs. Bell
